You can learn a lot from graphs.

Apparently it’s a “guy thing.” I say that with much sadness.

Now for some good news – US oil production is at an all time high. The interesting thing is that “analysts” have been predicting “peak oil” for more than a century. How did those analysts become “experts?” As a diagnostic radiologist if my diagnostic record was that bad I’d have been out of business one month after I started.

Make love, not war – nice thought from the 1960s but it didn’t happen. It appears that General Mattis has a saying that is closer to the truth: “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.”

Take it for what it’s worth.

I DO NOT WANT A TRADE WAR! But we definitely have the leverage to win.

Isn’t it great NOT to be on this list.

I’m sure there is logic in the graph below… somewhere. However, I can’t see it. Check the Obama years – still couldn’t alter his crumby economy.

Speaking of “trade wars” – it was shocking to see the growth of “trade agreements” over the last two decades. Having been alive in 1958 it seemed like the USA was “doing OK.” WE HAD ONE TRADE AGREEMENT! Now we have 285 and no one in the “rust belt” thinks we’re “doing OK.”

So, what’s China’s thinking. Leverage? Safe harbor?
