The wonders of “extrapolation.”

Extrapolate: extend a range of values by inferring unknown values from trends in the known data.

As a scientist I am quite familiar with the concept of extrapolation. However, I would prefer that actual data is used, especially by our federal government, when trying to ram new regulations down our throats.

The National Oceanographic and Atmosphere Administration (NOAA) published a graph showing central Africa with record heat in December (gray means “no data”).

The problem is that NOAA has almost no temperature data from Africa, and none from central Africa (thermometer data). They simply made up the record temperatures.

Satellite data from NASA shows that central Africa had average temperatures.

The Daily Mail just published an exposé revealing astonishing evidence that NOAA exaggerated global warming and timed the false data to influence the historic Paris Agreement on climate change.

A high-level whistleblower, Dr John Bates, has disclosed that NOAA breached its own rules on scientific integrity when it published the sensational but flawed report. Bates was a top NOAA scientist with an impeccable reputation. According to the Daily Mail he showed their reporters irrefutable evidence that the paper was based on misleading, ‘unverified’ data.

The report claimed that the ‘pause’ never existed, and that world temperatures had been rising faster than scientists expected. Launched by NOAA with a public relations fanfare, it was splashed across the world’s media, and cited repeatedly by politicians and policy makers.

Bates said he decided to speak out after seeing reports in papers including the Washington Post and Forbes magazine claiming that scientists feared the Trump admin-istration would fail to maintain and preserve NOAA’s climate records.

Dr Bates said: “How ironic it is that there is now this idea that Trump is going to trash climate data, when key decisions were earlier taken by someone whose responsibility it was to maintain its integrity – and failed.

My friends, if we can no longer believe these government institutions it’s time to start over. Oh, I forgot. We just elected Donald J. Trump, so we will be starting over! Thank the Maker!

And thanks to HP and Bay Area Patriots for sending this information to me.
