The Democrats don’t get it.

The Democrat Party (Socialism-lite) understands that President Trump is their true nemesis. The “politically correct – safe space” era will be over if President Trump is successful.

Aggressive protests will be the backdrop of the Trump presidency. The left will attempt to create chaos. They are manic in their desire to “delegitimize” Trump as president. Why is that, ask you? Because, answer I, Trump is the antithesis of their plan. If his plan succeeds the Democrat Party may never recover. When FDR’s plan succeeded (the true start of the “government-can-solve-all-your-problems” Democrat era) the Republicans were essentially out of power for 6 decades. The Democrat Party is looking down both barrels of the reverse of that event.

[Source: Democrats’ Response To President Trump Proves No Lessons Learned, by Ellen Carmichael]

Who but the left thinks that starting fires on the streets, smashing police cars (for which you and I paid), screaming hate-filled chants at law enforcement, interfering with public transportation, and leaving piles upon piles of garbage on the side of the road are endearing to the American electorate? Democrats NEVER hold to account their unhinged activist class believing that because they are angry, afraid and helpless it legitimizes their abhorrent behavior. The safety of others is irrelevant. Destroying private property is irrelevant. They are “justified” because their inner revolutionary need “must be expressed.”

[From the Carmichael article] …Trump’s rise was, in large part, not due to any conservatism or political philosophy. It was the product of a bunch of ordinary Americans who are tired of the professional Left ascribing xenophobia, homophobia, racism and classism to them on a regular basis. Go to church? You’re a troglodyte. Have concerns about people breaking the law by illegally entering the United States? You hate brown people. Don’t like the fact that Obamacare caused your premiums to triple? You just don’t want poor people to have health care.

And yet the Democrat Party is intent on telling a sufficient number of Americans to result in a 31-state electoral landslide that they are the filth of the Earth for their opinions. They view politics as a bludgeoning tool to hurt Americans with whom they disagree.

They think this was a one-man, one-election abberation and ignore that in election after election have been beaten and battered. Currently they have only 16 governors left and face 32 state legislatures fully under GOP control. Their top leaders in the House are all over 70. Their top leaders in the Senate are all over 60. Under Obama and over 8 years, in numerous state and local elections, Democrats have lost 1,034 of those elections – there’s no bench, no bench for a bench, virtually no one able to speak for the party as a whole.

Somehow this sounds like a bad plan to me. Ideologues like Senators Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders will cement the Democrats’ status as a minority party for many years to come.

And thanks to RL for sending this to me.

  1. David L. Wood says:

Socialism has failed ALWAYS. There is no historical evidence on record that there has ever been success with the societal system which negates individualism and ownership of private property. The longevity of the Russian experiment is because of coercion, murder of opposition and the use of guns to force compliance. That even failed ultimately. Oh, the degree of miseducation, misguidance and desire to push to advance by any coercive means (foul language threats, violence, chaos and destruction of property) are evidence of the weakness and destructiveness of such rotten thinking.
