Think about it!

Our President threw a final middle finger at Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East.

The Security Council Resolution that Obama saw fit not to veto had some astounding effects. A Jew living in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem (where Jews have lived for two millennia) is now breaking international law and can be prosecuted in the Haig. The Western Wall of Solomon’s Temple (the holiest place in the Jewish faith) is also off-limits.

When critics of Obama say that his foreign policy favors our enemies and hurts our allies, THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! He is a vindictive jerk and will not be missed in the slightest – NOT EVEN BY DEMOCRATS!

  1. Pat says:

Unless revisionists rewrite history, BO will go down not just as the worst President in the past 235 years (particularly as it comes to the attempted destruction of our American ideals and our Constitution), but primarily as a person who is so full of himself and so selfish that he has made decisions for personal reasons (and I won’t even pretend to know his inner motives). These have worsened many aspects of our nation (despite a phony positive spin his diminishing defenders spew out on a regular basis) and have the potential to lead to international conflicts and the further promotion of socioeconomic, political and religious divisions. He either has a secret agenda or he is a rather ignorant man!
The so called “disputed” territory in Israel was bought with Jewish money (before WWII and the Balfour Declaration) or Jewish blood when their current adversaries attacked them and they “won” it as spoils of war (actually reclaiming what was theirs before empires and then surrounding tribes took it by force over the past 2+ millennia).
BO does not, and never has, represented the “best and brightest” of our nation. More and more people are beginning to see him as he really is. A man devoted to establishing a “legacy” unto himself rather than seeking the best for America and letting that reveal a true legacy. Solomon had much to say about wisdom, folly, truth and consequences including “pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before stumbling”(Proverbs 16:18). Time will tell but it will take a miracle to undo the damage the Obama Administration has perpetuated upon our great nation and its people.

  2. M.S. Bucalo says:

BO is a Muslim, Racist and anti American. He got elected twice because he is black. Those that voted for him believe the opposite of what M.L.K. preached.

  3. Roxanne A. says:

Obama is not selfish. He is one of the most profoundly self less man on the national scene. He has no rational values to call his own except basketball. He has no ideas to call his own, no judgment, no first hand values he wants to preserve. If he did, he would not work so hard to make America, and her allies (such as Israel) less well defended as countries that defend the right to life, to liberty, to pursue rational values is the only way men can survive.

He has allowed his first hand judgment (the most selfish act a person can do is refuse to surrender their judgment to others’ view of reality) to be erased, and put in place free-floating (from reality) ideas that say wealth-creation is evil, taking wealth from those who created it and redistributing it to those who did not create/earn it is morally right; a country founded on individual rights protection is evil (America) but a country founded by a brutal thug which violates individual rights is moral (Cuba, China, Iran, you fill in the blanks).

Selflessness is evil. Considering it moral is what has enabled Obama, and his hangers on, to gain the Presidency. Selfishness about one’s rational values, one’s mind, one’s life, is a pre-requisite for fighting off any future ‘Obamas’. This country was founded so men could exist for and by themselves. It expressly denied that men have an obligation to live for others, i..e., selfishness is moral.

Obama has said many times, you are your brother’s keeper, which idea is the moral foundation of communism. Obama understands this issue. Do you?

  4. Roxanne A. says:

    1. Yes, Dr. Filly, you understand communism.
    2. I don’t know what “pure love” you are referring to, Pat. Romantic love is one of the most selfish acts imaginable! Do you really want someone to love you selflessly, with no thought of any personal happiness from your presence? Of loving you out of a sense of duty or to protect you from being lonely?

If a man risks his life to save the woman he loves from physical harm, he’s not doing it selflessly, out of sense of duty. He’s doing it because she’s his highest value and he doesn’t value life without her. That is a rationally selfish act, in that context, NOT a sacrifice.

I specified that selfishness is based on choosing rational values, and acting rationally to achieve them, whether personal or professional. Defrauding people by lying or cheating, to gain values a person wants, is not rational. Selfishness has to be rational to be moral, recognizing that everyone is properly concerned with their lives and not sacrificing others to our own needs/wants. It’s not a matter of being “all about me”- but about choosing values and acting to achieve them, rationally, not rationalizing ones actions, or acting on a whim or emotionally.

Not surrendering one’s judgment to anyone, especially those who want to pressure you to think a certain way (political correctness) is a profoundly selfish act. .

    • Pat says:

Love has many definitions including your example, which is eros (Greek) for sexual/emotional love. This is frequently( if not always) selfish. There is phileo or brotherly love (from whence Philadelphia was named). It is a deeper and sometimes unselfish love but can occur with or without self sacrifice. Finally, there is agape love, which I labled “pure” love. This is always unselfish, sacrificing oneself for the benefit of another. Even in the closest of relationships, this is not always practiced.
So whatever definition you choose, Obama has demonstrated he is selfish. End of discussion!

  5. Roxanne A. says:

He needs a self to sacrifice or not. He has none.

  6. I like semantic precision. in the above comments there is observation about “selfish” and “selfless.” Pat (Dec. 29, 2016) gives dictionary definitions of selfish: 1 : concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one’s own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others. 2 : arising from concern with one’s own welfare or advantage in disregard of others.

The words “excessively or exclusively with oneself” seems to imply that there is something not good with “self interest.” I believe a more accurate understanding could be stated, “The essence of selfish is, looking out for one’s self and one’s well-being.” This is a moral concept. Quantitating it with “excessive” or “exclusive” does not (to me) detract from the concept of looking out for oneself. However, to look out for oneself at the expense of others indicates the use of coercion, which IS immoral. Coercion is to compel be force, intimidation or fraud.

An illustration of what I understand to be moral self-interest was observed by Adam Smith in his 1776 book “The Wealth of Nations.” Smith wrote, “He (the businessman) generally, indeed, neither intends to promote the public interest nor knows how much he is promoting it . . . . He intends only his own security (interest).” Adam Smith observed further, “By pursuing his own interest he frequently promotes that of society more effectively than when he really intends to promote it.” Again, this is honest self-interest (i.e., selfish) but without coercion.

To be a successful individual implies honest self-interest. It is best carried out under conditions of liberty and lawfulness. I am proud to be morally selfish, which includes a healthy concern and respect for others with the same honest self-interest.

    • Roxanne A. says:

David Wood: You’ve made an important distinction about selfishness. I.e., moral selfishness is without cooercion, either overt or covert (fraud). To use or exploit others, to further any motives, either selfish or “self-less”, is immoral because it is coercion. Please note the vast majority of violations of right to life and liberty, throughout history, are justified as being done ” for others”.

You summed it up very well at the end: morally selfish includes respecting others view their lives accordingly. Thank you for your precision on defining terms, context and your summation.

Roy – Could you say more about your basis for these claims? They seem pretty extraordinary. [You wrote, “A Jew living in the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem (where Jews have lived for two millennia) is now breaking international law and can be prosecuted in the Haig. The Western Wall of Solomon’s Temple (the holiest place in the Jewish faith) is also off-limits.”]

  8. Starchild says:

By the way, the Haig is dead – – long live The Hague!
