OK. So here are the latest box scores.
Mitt Romney is apparently looking for someone to run against Trump. That would have the same disastrous results as John Anderson’s (5,719,850 votes) and Ralph Nader’s (2,882,955 votes) third party runs had for the Democrat Party and Ross Perot’s (19,743,821 votes) third party run had for the Republican Party. George Wallace’s third party run didn’t stop Richard Nixon from winning but garnered a whopping 9,901,118 votes.
So here’s a thought. Why don’t we let the Democrat Party pull the pin on that particular grenade? And the probability that the Democrat Party will face that scenario is not so dim as the “lame-stream media” would lead us to believe. By now we know that Bernie Sanders will not beat Hillary (unless Hillary losses the FBI primary).
I’m not sure if you have been watching Bernie’s voters, but they are definitely nutty. At the Nevada Democratic convention, the delegates were mostly given to Hillary (well, she did win the caucuses in February). Sanders backers didn’t like reality and charged the stage. They threw chairs and shouted… well, vulgar epithets at speakers. Security agents had to protect the dais and ultimately clear the room. (Remember that the people who went off the rails at Trump rallies were Democrat nut cases from their fringes).
Sanders supporters then publicized the cellphone number of the party chairwoman. This resulted in her receiving literally thousands of abusive text messages and threats:
“Praying to God someone shoots you in the FACE and blows your democracy-stealing head off!”
“I think people like you should be hung in a public execution. . . . You are a sick, twisted piece of s— and I hope you burn for this!”
She got a few thousand voicemail messages, as well. (Isn’t every liberal newswoman screaming that Trump hates “women.” Check these out. I seriously doubt they came from women.) Here are a couple for your perusal:
“Hey bitch. . . We know where you live. Where you work. Where you eat. Where your kids go to school/grandkids. . . Prepare for hell.”
“You f—ing stupid bitch! What the hell are you doing? You’re a f—ing corrupt bitch!”
And what did Bernie’s supporters do for fun the next day, ask you? Well, they vandalized the Democrat Party headquarters, answer I. They left some “altruistic” messages like “You are scum” spray-painted on the walls.
Bernie’s response in a written statement: “If the Democratic Party is to be successful in November, it is imperative that all state parties treat our campaign supporters with fairness and the respect that they have earned.” I’d say that the above shows the level of “respect” they’ve “earned.”
These are not nice people and they are not going to sit still for a Hillary nomination! The Democrat Party Convention is going to be fun to watch this year. I think a third party run by Bernie is not a far fetched notion. Perhaps Bernie will become the Eugene V. Debs of the Socialist Party for the 21st Century. That would be OK with me.
