Trying to take “God” out of the Pledge of Allegiance is one thing. This is much worse!

NBC came under fire in January for taking the reference to God out of the Pledge of Allegiance — this time in a promotion for “Allegiance,” a new series about a young CIA agent. Fox News reported that the “Allegiance” video included a chorus of voices who declare, “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America. And to the republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.”

It’s not the first time that NBC has faced questions about the removal of the reference to God from the Pledge of Allegiance. In 2011, NBC apologized after twice removing “under God” from the pledge during its coverage of the U.S. Open golf tournament.

We have grown almost numb to American schoolchildren being indoctrinated with left-wing ideas. It is one thing for the progressive/statist/altruists to try to eradicate God from every semblance of American life, but in their battle over the words “under God” in the Pledge, at least they still Pledge to our nation’s Flag!

Kindergarten students from PS75, a public school in New York City, recently took part in a class project in which the children were made to create an American flag with the flags of 22 other nations superimposed over the stripes. Below the flag it read, “We pledge allegiance to an International Flag.”

This is the flag that was “created.”

The “Flag” was to be auctioned. Although the description claimed that the flags are limited to “Spanish speaking countries (bad enough),” the Russian flag is amongst those that are included (third flag; top row). Russia! If you can believe our Secretary of Defense, Ashton Carter, he said the following: “Russia poses our greatest existential threat… “

Is the left so ashamed of our Nation that it must resort to eradicating even our flag and our allegiance to it? And, must they include our most dangerous enemy to whom we should “pledge allegiance!” This is heartbreaking, dangerous, and very, very wrong.

And thanks to JM for sending this to me.

  1. Bill Grisham CPA says:

Remember, the “New World Order” is all about “Our World Under Their Orders!” Our new world cannot have any other allegiances than to themselves. God requires ethics and right action and since that limits their power, it must be eliminated.

Deleting God? Hell, I’m so old that I can remember when we put God into the Pledge. Going to be a chore, however, to erase “In God We Trust” from all that currency. Or get Irving Berlin back from the grave to rewrite “God Bless america.”

Then there is the problem of all those cities and towns named “Saint’, ‘St.’ or ‘San.’ After all we’ll need a clean sweep of all religious reference so goodbye to Bethlehem PA and Salem OR and MA. Even Sacramento will have to change perhaps to Sacrificial. Providence can be Improvident? Maybe Memphis can remain given its Egyptian roots as we have to be ‘sensitive’ to other cultures. Remember that in the Coachella Valley of California abutting the Salton Sea is Mecca CA which does have a Muslim cemetery.

Next up we scrub place names honoring anyone who ever owned a slave wiping out both the State of Washington and D.C. Jefferson Mo, Madison WI and Harrison NY all disappear as do the dozens of namesakes for Generals Lee and Jackson. Apropos of the NFL’s Redskins issue are all the places which could insult Native Americans. We’ll be deluged renaming Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, as well as urban Chicago, Seattle, Detroit and Spokane. Endless? Isn’t there a ring to Martin Luther King, Jr., Wyoming, Malcolm X, Texas and making Omaha simply Obama, Nebraska?

Trump caught fire for several reasons. His disrespect for the PC police resounds with folks of most stripes. Hopefully, he’ll also take a shot at his so-called ‘white privilege.’ Time is on his side as it will take more than a bit to abolish any reference to Mozart, daVinci, Shakespeare, Einstein, Bell, Edison, Ford, Marconi, the Wright Brothers, Tesla and the rest who made it just because they were white. Right?
