Whaddya know? He admits it!

California’s CO2 emission standards are less than a spit in the ocean. A total virtual ban on CO2 emissions from the entire US cannot significantly impact world CO2 emissions. Well, say my progressive/statist/altruist friends, we need China and India to jump on board. Au contraire, mon ami! How do I know? Because John Kerry told me so!

Here are Kerry’s exact words (from Breitbart.com):

… The fact is that even if every American citizen biked to work, carpooled to school, used only solar panels to power their homes, if we each planted a dozen trees, if we somehow eliminated all of our domestic greenhouse gas emissions, guess what – that still wouldn’t be enough to offset the carbon pollution coming from the rest of the world.

If all the industrial nations went down to zero emissions –- remember what I just said, all the industrial emissions went down to zero emissions -– it wouldn’t be enough, not when more than 65% of the world’s carbon pollution comes from the developing world.

But here is the problem, Secretary Kerry. If you force the “developing world” to eschew electricity you condemn 2 million people per year to death – the result of indoor pollution from cooking fires and inefficient, smoky stoves. And let us not forget another 200,000 deaths from being burned alive by the same cooking fires and stoves. That doesn’t sound very “altruistic” to me. Oh well, that CO2 must go, so adios!

And thanks to CAG for sending this to me.
